SCENIC MODELLING ACCESSORIES
Following selling items on eBay I am often asked to put together a catalogue of modelling products that I can supply- Well this is a start !- its growing all the time….
All items shown below are available, please contact me for costs, quantities and details- please note many of the images show a painted and unpainted item, this is to demonstrate the type of look that can be achieved once the item is in position and coloured and weathered. - If you specify the item to be painted there is an additional cost.
All items shown are available in a painted format or as plain unpainted castings any quantity of items can be requested, if you have a specific quantity in mind please contact me for current stock or proposed lead times for your request .
I am a modeller myself, having trained to degree level in industrial model making I went on to spend time creating models for photographic work, for film and television and for visual effects, I have also done some work in commercial displays and architectural model making- so I now make the parts I need for my models and offer the surplus to other modellers, my rationale is if I needed these items then there are others out there who may also need these items !
All goods are castings made from moulds that I or my colleagues have produced, casts are made either in resin or a plaster based modelling material, this ‘ plaster’ is good to work with can be sanded, cut shaped, and easily glued with either pva- white wood glue or superglue style adhesives.
When gluing items be aware not to get glue on the front face of the castings as this can affect the finish for painting!
All items are available in a plain plaster for you to paint once the scenic item is in place or it can be supplied painted at additional cost- the plaster is very realistic with similar qualities to stone, - it accepts colour easily and with a little work and paint these look fantastic!
All items are carefully weathered and patterned this is done via the moulding process, this increases realism and ensures no two items are ever the same, please note these castings sometimes require a minimal amount of ‘cleaning up’ before being placed onto your layout
I paint items with pigments and / or artists watercolours, I find water based colours are ideal for these plaster castings- the colour gives depth and realism.
I will happily send goods out via the postal service or by courier if you prefer, - please ask about delivery charges…. or collection can be arranged. If preferred.
I usually use first class royal mail; all goods are well wrapped and carefully boxed.
As for pricing and delivery then this of course depends on quantities ordered, I will happily discount multiple orders and combine shipping to save you money

Payment can be made by cheque or via paypal- goods will be released once cleared payment is made
All items can be used as part of a scratch building project if desired, items in hydrocal – the plaster based casting material can be cut and sanded, I cut using a fine tooth modeller’s razor saw, or a small ‘minicraft’ type table top circular saw.
Items can be sanded with a surform or coarse and then fine abrasive papers. A sharp craft knife can also be used to trim castings if required.
